Dana Balassi, LAc

Dana received her master's degree in acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine with an undergrad in the fine arts.  She has been a student and practitioner of Dr. Liu Dong’s Qigong Methods since 2003 and has an extensive background in both Chinese and Western herbal therapy.

Sonja Sivesind, LAc, MSAOM

Sonja Sivesind began studying acupuncture and Chinese herbs at Touro College in Manhattan. She moved back home to Seattle and graduated from Bastyr University in 2008. Sonja has practiced acupuncture in many public health and community settings in Seattle and staffed the Alternative Health Care Access Campaign for two years, coordinating the efforts of Naturopathic physicians, massage therapists and acupuncturists in providing free healthcare to homeless and low income people.     

Before following the path of Chinese medicine, Sonja worked in several social justice organizations. Karah is a Practitioner of Peace, a Geek, and an Origami artist.  She is a teacher of the peace in art and the art of peace.  She happily shares her healing knowledge with a focus on Prevention and Wellness with others in the Geekdom of Puget Sound when their mousing hands and low back pain interfere with their geekhood.  

Karah is a graduate of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, OR where she studied Biomedicine, Quantum Medicine, Bodywork, Meditation, QiGong an Phytopharmeceutical Formulas.   She is passionate about Wellness Education and is actively engaged in Healthcare Reform. 

Susan Moore, LAc

Susan treats the whole family and has specialized training in women's and children's health including gynecological disorders, fertility, maternity and postpartum care, chronic conditions, and emotional disorders. Susan specializes in Toyohari Japanese style acupuncture which uses very gentle light techniques on acupuncture points.  She offers private acupuncture treatments and specialized community acupuncture for pregnancy and fertility. She also offers Fertile Essence workshops on nutrition, meditation and yoga for fertility.

Susan Moore received her master's degree in acupuncture from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 1996, is certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture, and is a licensed practitioner in Washington state. She is also a member of the Washington Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the North American Toyohari Association.
